Greenlink Energy LLC is a U.S.-based energy development company (Subsidiary of Greenlink Global Consulting Inc) and the proponent of a large-scale LNG project in Southeast Asia. Greenlink Energy is led by a team with deep local knowledge and extensive international experience in energy development, infrastructure execution, and legal and commercial structuring.
Our Team
Michael Fernando, President and CEO
Michael Fernando is a seasoned international business leader with a strong track record in aviation, finance, and cross-border trade. He began his career as a Financial Controller in Sri Lanka, where he managed financial operations for a 350-acre tea plantation employing over 350 workers. During this period, he successfully negotiated a strategic supply agreement with Emirates Airlines, among others.
Michael later founded the Greenlink group of companies where he played a pivotal role in facilitating the sale of aircraft from a leading Canadian manufacturer to a Southeast Asian airline. Under his leadership, an affiliate company of Greenlink was appointed as the international representative for a prominent North American defence and public safety technology company, with responsibility for markets in Sri Lanka and the Republic of Maldives.
A specialist in market connectivity and international project financing, Michael has identified U.S. EXIM Bank–backed financing opportunities for a major North American bank. Among other initiatives, he introduced advanced U.S. plasma gasification technologies for municipal solid waste management projects in Southeast Asia. Michael was retained by Sithe Global Power development Inc. (a Blackstone company) on the development of a major LNG terminal, regasification and power plant project in the Southern Province of Sri Lanka. He remains in a key leadership position on the project today.
Michael is a committed advocate of international trade and economic cooperation. Michael served as a founding member and Vice President of the Sri Lanka Chamber of Commerce in Canada and has been an active member in both the Canada–Sri Lanka and Sri Lanka–Canada Business Councils.
Harry Sambells, Executive Director, Projects
Harry Sambells is a senior executive and advisor with more than five decades of experience in the oil and gas, mining, power, and utilities sectors. He has held leadership roles as Senior Vice-President, General Manager, Project Director, and Project Manager.
Harry has extensive experience guiding senior executives through project development strategy, execution risk management, contracting models, and organizational readiness for multi-billion-dollar energy and infrastructure investments. His advisory work includes oil sands developments in Canada, hydro-electric refurbishment programs, major transmission line projects, He has worked directly with boards, executive leadership teams, project organizations, government ministries, regulators, and international financing and trade institutions. Harry currently serves as Executive Director Projects for Greenlink Global Consulting Inc
Harry Wylde, Director, Finance
Undergraduate B. Sc. from the University of Toronto, post-graduate LL. B. from University of Toronto Law School and further post-graduate LL. M. from York University Osgoode Hall Law School. Former Director of Home Capital Group Inc. listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange, and charities such as the Palliative Care Foundation of Canada, the Canadian Council of Christians and Jews and the Toronto Children’s Chorus. A founder and principal of the Law Firm of Anderson & Wylde, in Toronto, with lengthy experience in corporate and commercial matters and many years of representation of international clients in substantive commercial enterprises held in Canada and United States. As an investor holding significant ownership interests in private European based manufacturing companies. Harry Wylde serves as Director Finance for Greenlink Global Consulting Inc.
Projects
The Project is a large-scale LNG infrastructure development in Southeast Asia. With feasibility studies completed and active engagement across governments, EPC contractors, suppliers, and LNG producers. The project has been designed to deliver reliable, lower-carbon energy. The project is strategically important and strengthens national energy security and unlocks significant downstream investment in industrial and manufacturing sectors.
